Let’s Remain In The Spirit of Giving

It’s been over 6 years since I blogged and it’s quite nice to resume this hobby; h ope to do this regularly. I have been thinking about what issue to kick-off with and finally settled on the ever refreshing act of Giving .   Yep! During the festive season of Christmas and New Year a lot of us gave out gifts and donated food, our time, goods etc., to individuals, charities and organizations. May the Lord bless and replenish all who gave out and thought of others. After the festive seasons, however, most of us tend to get back into our daily routine that we forget to remain in the ‘spirit of giving’. Let’s not stop! We need to continue to give our time, resources, used clothes to people who do need them.   For the past 5 years, I have enjoyed de-cluttering my closet and home semi-annually so items can be donated to charities and missionaries. Who Thought These Worlds Existed

Trip to Charanda and Jato Akura (Western Region) A journey of a million miles begins with a step but for us it begun with the spark of a 4x4. A long but interesting drive to these two villages in the Western Region. For some reason, I was excited and anxio us but oblivious to what was in a village to the West. At sunset we had to take rest at Rexmar Hotel in Kumasi and continue the journey early the next day to the West ( of Ghana of course ). We (my colleagues and I) went through towns such as Techiman and Tuobodom ( yeah remember the song... per capital town ne gene gene.. ) and almost to the North. Coming into contact with the residents was awesome. They were so welcoming and we had a fun time. We were given yams and a goat to return with.
